I wouldn't let it rattle around for too long. I've got the same issue and the loose cover has started to 'burn' through air intake rubber hose/pipe and electrical wiring. It's even melted a couple of ridges into the top of the engine block! Pretty tough engine cover. Has anyone had any luck tracking down replacement rubber mounts that bigfrank was looking for?
