I recently had an engine cutout - sadly my auto had hotlined as I overtook (only 50mph). The AA took me home and the guy said "Crankshaft sensor" from his computer. I bought one from a scrap yard (new one over £200!). It arrived with a nick in the wire. The salesperson said "Try it and we'll replace it." So we did. The fault wasn't cured so he sent a replacement. This hasn't fixed it. I've bought a reluctor wheel in case. It's round and magnetic but some are toothed. Chrysler dealer says the part is correct. Before we lift the engine has anyone any comments please?
