  1. Hi Chris, Did you ever get this sorted and did you have any issues? I am in the midst of an engine swap on my 07 2.8 GV and having issues with starting after reconnecting everything. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Pete

  3. Morning All, I have a GV 2007 2.8CRD I have recently had to have a new engine fitted after the turbo blew and the block cracked after overheating. Unfortunately after replacing the engine the car will not start. It will turn over and there is fuel and fuel pressure but it will not kick into life. It has had a new battery and also used a booster pack to start it. Is there anyone out there with any ideas? Does the ECU need to be reprogrammed for the new engine? or could this be an imobiliser fault? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Pete
  4. OK So the the Engine has given out on my 2007 GV big style. :o :o Head Gaskets blown along with the turbo and seals. So her is a question..... Do I repair or Do I replace? I am thinking Replacement will be cheaper and a better fix another thought is, is there another 2.8CRD engine that will fit straight in either from a Jeep etc. has anyone done this? Pete
  5. This is true for so many of the GV parts. Very expensive and more often than not ordered on request. I had to replace the front handbrake cable a couple of months back and that cost me £65 +VAT. Only available from a dealer on order, and an oil cooler again best part of £400.
  6. Hi all, I have a GV 2.8CRD 2007 Exec. Last year i had the oil cooler replaced on it as I had oil in the coolant, After about 5K miles it went again and a part replaced under warranty. After another 3K miles i am again getting oil in the coolant. It has been in to Chryslert and they are suggesting it may be the Head Gasket, When i have pulled the oil out there is no water in the oil, but i still have oil in the coolant and it is overheating after a short period, but presume this is bacause of the oil in the coolant and it not cooling properly. I am thinking that this is yet again an oil cooler problem or possibly something else. Has anyone else had this and how easy is it to check the head gasket without stripping the whole car apart? Chrysler quoted 5K to do head gasket but this may not be the actual problem. They did say the Oil Cooler is OK and robbed me 200 quid for looking at it for 2 hours. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Pete
