i believe the 'wuh wuh wuh' noise was happening. The garage said prior to the belt snapping that it was the ac pump making the 'wuh wuh wuh' noise. Then when the belt snapped the recovery chap said the ac pump had seized solid and snapped the belt.

Afternoon all As the title suggests I'm a new owner of a 2004 GV 2.8 CRD and need help. A month ago I noticed a different sound coming from the engine bay. kind of hard to describe, but it was almost like a different pitch. whacked it into the local garage who found that the AC pump/compressor needed replacing at £900!!!!!!!! Now in the meantime the clutch on the ac pump/compressor has seized and snapped the belt. So the car is no longer drivable, well safely anyway. I need the help of you good people to see if there is a cheaper way of doing this repair? Are there any places or people on eBay I can get the part cheaper from? I've seen the ac pump/compressors on eBay, but how do I know its the right part? (i doubt myself a lot} Also does anyone know of any independent Chrysler specialist near the heathrow area?
