  1. I'm based near Prestwich literally just off the motorway so easy access all over the M60. Ah your not a million miles away, handy to know as there's plenty to learn on these cars. I mentioned earlier that this is actually my 3rd Grand Voyager as there quite a hit and miss car. First one was a 2002 2.5crd se model in green that literally had everything . Nice un corroded immaculate chrome alloys the lot. Condition was excellent , full leather etc etc. However that night at around 2am the alarm went off , lights on , full window wipers working I thought someone was in it trying to have it away ha ha. New battery later and exactly 24 hours later it develops a serious misfire. To Cut a long story short I contact the trader who was fantastic and says he will take to a specialist . Contact from seller that day to say that the car has had quite a few things replaced and it looks like possibly a serious engine fault masked up and traded on. Shame as the car was mint so he gave me my money back. Second GV was a silver 2.5 crd lx model which was very basic, cloth seats a few dings here and there and we had that a month before hitting problems, new discs n pads all around, new battery, various things broken and it ended whereby the engine bay caught fire . It was an Aux belt hat shredded and melted around the air con pulley which had seized. Frightened the life out of me the smoke was unreal. Ironically it all cleaned up perfectly however I had had too many issues with the car and so it went back to supplying dealer who agreed to take it back as he had bodged the service history, Put an mot on the car that was obviously never seen the ramps among other things. Few months later and find my current car , a much newer 2006 se GV with the newer 2.8 , not perfect bodywork , scratched on almost every panel ha ha. Cracked rear bumper paint but a recent £800 service including box oil change and it drives better than all the other ones owned . I bought needing a few jobs doing , fixed the electric doors myself . A quick change of tyres all around and good to go for 6 months problem free lol. Other issues I had is tempremental thermostat , just a plug needing cleaning up, starter motor wiring replaced as poor contact and I'm abouts to do the rear wheel bearings when I have sourced a reasonable quality set and the garage can fit me in. Chryslers eh lol. Col.
  2. Yes I took off the plastic front end cap and it almost wedged in. However the bracket that drops down fouls. I didn't realise they were different and was puzzled as to what goes on. They don't often come up for sale and so the ones I have seen in eBay are all different. I have seen some listed which are the same as mine that I know won't fit and others are from people breaking the car so don't show the full picture . Ideally I need a breaker with a car for me to try ha ha. I think there is one for sale in Wigan so not too far, but I thought I'd ask first . Many thanks for the warm welcome . Cheers .
  3. I have experimented . Tend to run around 36 however They look like there flat all the time ha ha. I did try 40 which cosmetically looks miles better and stiffens he ride somewhat. Maybe compromise at 38 all around and see how that feels. Col.
  4. I've got the dread low pitch hummmnfrom around 40 mph that's just annoying more than anything. Bearings are not notchy at all and still spin freely so it's time to just buy new ones I reckon . eBay has some on there and I have tried euro car parts and gsf however here is quite s difference in price . Has anyone purchased rear bearings at all and can I ask where did you buy from. Many thanks. Col.
  5. Hi there. I have also posted elsewhere as im after a set of roof bars for the above. A recent eBay purchase reveals bars supplied are for a different model so it's thrown me if there's is any changes depending on age. I'm based near Manchester but if anyone has any. Please feel free to get in touch. Many thanks Colin.
  6. Hi everyone and thanks for having me. I have a 2006 GV stow and go model that's not got the roof bra fitted. This is my 3rd voyager and ironically the only one that has not got them fitted. I recently ordered a set off eBay and to cut a long story short they don't fit. Does anyone know if they changed the design of them at all. Seller said his were for a 2003 GV , but facelift lights like mine. Many thanks . Col.
