2.8Crd Heater Not Heating - Don't Think It's The Stat

Question

Winter is coming north of the wall and my GV is colder than a white walkers heart.

I don't think it's the stat as the temp is still reaching just under half way as is the norm. Earlier this year I flushed the coolant and replaced the rad, also replenished fluids with HOAT and distilled.

The A.C. has never worked and I have no plan on repairing this due to cost.

My thought is that it may be the heater matrix However please feel free to share your opinion and suggestions, my question is - has anyone replaced the matrix, is it easy enough and has anyone done some pointers for completing the job.

Thanks in advance Graham

The inline stat will give give you back your 1/2 way on the temp gauge. Add the 99p worth of Screwfix lagging will 1/2 the time in minutes it takes to get the 1/2 way on the temp gauge. Add the 'button battery mod' will give you back your 'old school' battery charging voltage rate.

Inline stat, £10 + 10 minutes.
Air dam lagging, £1 + 10 minutes.
Battery mod, 20p + 5 minutes.
