Question

Hi

I have a strange problem. My car recently has a battery draining problem. When I turn off the engine I have a beeping problem, I have to turn off my lights slowly and turn off the engine without opening the doors and this seems to stop the beeping. If I do not do this the battery drains overnight.

My garage says it is a central processing unit/electrical fault, that will costs thousands of pounds to fix.

Is this a known fault?

Take it to a Chrysler dealer and get them to diagnose and quote - may be cheaper than you think........ 3rd party garages sometimes have differing opinions. I had a very similar problem some years ago on a similar model just requiring a software reset, cost me £39 at the time.

That particular model did have computer/battery/electrical problems but were most software. Hope that helps.
