My 2008 Grand Voyager has the original REW radio unit, but there are a couple of problems - it will not copy CDs onto the hard disc, and MP3 files (of a valid sample rate) will copy, but will not play. I've replaced the HDD, but this has not helped. I also suspect a transient CanBus communications issue.
I have considered a complete upgrade to something like a Kenwood head unit, but that seems be be a decidedly non-trivial process with many, many interconnect challenges.
So here's the question: does anyone know if a more recent RHW (NTG4 Refresh) unit will function in a 2008 car, and is it plug-compatible? If so, this would be my preferred, lowest impact route.
