  1. Hi Nick

Even the newer 5th Gen are very difficult to get parts for maybe a search on E Bay for a early car that you can pull parts off

If you have somewhere to store it you could easily recover the cost. or a saved search on ebay US?

To give you an idea my 2009 GV needed 2 wings or

'Fenders' as they call them in the USA rusted at the point, was offered 2 at £1000 !!!

Eventually some turned up on the bay and bought them for £200 they are due to go on in March

    Hope this helps

  2. Hi Max, you will find a lot of garages not interested in doing a cambelt (don't forget the water pump at same time) on these cars  if that £500 includes parts which are around £150-200 then good. I had mine done last year 2022 I provided the parts and was £240 oh and when I said I had the locking kit he said its not needed

Just bought a 2007 Voyager with 105000 miles on the clock. Phoned up my local garage, for a quote on a new cam belt and water pump, as there is no service history with the car. They have told me they cannot do the job as they don't have the specialist tools. I think they just don't want the job, because I believe it can be done without special tools. Although the 3 locking pins help! So now I need another garage. Have looked on line and a mobile mechanic will come and do it for £739, that includes a water pump. Is this about right.

    Chrysler Grand Voyager 25th anniversary

So was going to change the diesel lift pump the one that sits on top/in the fuel tank it appears to be getting  noisy, and when I approached Jeep dealer they said its £600!!

As the Petrol 3.3,3.6 and 4.0 are around £50-120 on Rock auto so even with shipping and tax no where near £60 I wonder if I could replace mine with one from say a 4.0 litre

£600 for a plastic pump really  could understand a high pressure one costing that much

part number 04809932AA Maybe someone techy can explain why there is such a difference in price.
