Report Engine Warning Light When Getting To About 2.5 Revs... in Newbie Forum Posted August 15, 2021 Hi guys, I have a Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 Diesel 2006. The engine warning light comes on when going up a hill and the revs getto about 2.5 for several seconds, or on the motorway and the revs are at 2.5for several seconds. Now when the engine warning light comes on, the power is still ok andno issues with the engine, speed, no limp mode etc. Then after 1, 2 days the engine lightgoes off and stays off all the time (for weeks) unless I take the car to 2.5 on the revsagain for several seconds, then it comes on straight away. Also what I have just noticed as well is, when it is warm/hot outside (sunny day)the engine light comes on straight away once the car starts and is stationary orjust driving steady/slow. When I had the car serviced and had a 63 point check done, nothing was showingfor the engine light issue. Does anyone have any idea what the issue is with the engine light coming onwhen getting to about 2.5 revs? Is it like some pipe or something that when there's enough pressure a pipeor something may have a split in it and the pressure opens it up and then thiscauses the engine warning light to come on? I have done 2-3 days travelling many times doing over 1000 miles with the engine warning light onwithout any issues to driving, speed etc, but I just feel more comfortable having noengine warning light coming on. Thanks
Engine Warning Light When Getting To About 2.5 Revs...

Hi guys,
I have a Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 Diesel 2006.
The engine warning light comes on when going up a hill and the revs get
to about 2.5 for several seconds, or on the motorway and the revs are at 2.5
for several seconds.
Now when the engine warning light comes on, the power is still ok and
no issues with the engine, speed, no limp mode etc. Then after 1, 2 days the engine light
goes off and stays off all the time (for weeks) unless I take the car to 2.5 on the revs
again for several seconds, then it comes on straight away.
Also what I have just noticed as well is, when it is warm/hot outside (sunny day)
the engine light comes on straight away once the car starts and is stationary or
just driving steady/slow.
When I had the car serviced and had a 63 point check done, nothing was showing
for the engine light issue.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue is with the engine light coming on
when getting to about 2.5 revs?
Is it like some pipe or something that when there's enough pressure a pipe
or something may have a split in it and the pressure opens it up and then this
causes the engine warning light to come on?
I have done 2-3 days travelling many times doing over 1000 miles with the engine warning light on
without any issues to driving, speed etc, but I just feel more comfortable having no
engine warning light coming on.
Thanks
