Both look good to me, Mitcar's a bit of a distance but just means I get to enjoy a drive down. I should probably consider cleaning it at some point during the next 6 months too...

If there's any events that any of you guys are going to then I'm more than up for it too 

I have recently started to have this problem and it now refuses to open (even with force) when the car is unlocked. What I've found I have to do is just keep unlocking the car using the remote button on the key until the fuel cap also unlocks - usually takes two or three attempts until the cap also unlocks...it's annoying but for now I don't mind putting up with it.

Hi all, a friend of mine just bought an Alfa Romeo Giulietta, and when unlocking the car using the remote key, the headlights and rear lights turn on, which at night looks ace. I just wondered if this is a setting or hidden setting available on the Delta, as the 2007 Dodge Caliber and 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser I had in the past could also do this.

Hi all, I've not been on here for a long time because I sold my Delta last year. However, last week I bought a newer and better model after sorting out my finances.

 

My question is regarding some illuminated door sills. I've had a look around on eBay (both UK and Italian) and cannot find any at the moment, so just wondered if anyone knew of/had used any other sources in order to get some Delta parts. If anyone could help that'd be great!

Don't know if anybody reads Auto Express (I myself do, but find it a bit biased at times), but annually they allow readers to participate in an owner's survey in order to rank cars (top 200) based on it's reviews. The Chrysler Delta has never been on this list, which doesn't surprise me as it's quite a rare car with little knowledge of it's existence by many Focus and Astra goers. However, I just wondered if anybody else thought it might be good to see if we could get the car on the list (it's the 2016 survey they would like participants for now though) as the car in my opinion is excellent! So how come you decided to sell up and move on? What have you replaced it with?

Unfortunately I came into some financial trouble so had to trade down to a cheaper vehicle (I have a PT Cruiser now  ), but I really really hope to get another Delta very soon, providing one comes along at the right price 

Rod what version of Delta have you got? SE-SR-Limited? Just interested as I'm fairly sure I didn't have an 'Amp' feed in the loom at all...

 

Right I've now got a working version of Nokia HERE safely downloaded onto the head unit. It was a bit of a faf but found an APK version 1.1 on a trusted link so thought I'd give it a go... I'll report back once I've had a play with it....Oh and also found one for WAZE but that does require a data connection whereas HERE is offline once you've downloaded the maps.

I believe Rod is actually referring to my car that I sold a couple of weeks ago, which has the same Navplus unit as yours (that we spoke about a few times). The model is an SE I believe - hope this helps! (Sorry to jump in and answer)

So just to be clear... You have got the Sat Nav aerial haven't you? This one is square (about 40mm) with a self adhesive pad on the back. 

 

Is it just the two TV aerials, DVD box and cable to connect that you are missing?

Yep, I've got the Sat Nav aerial/GPS tracker, it's just the TV aerial I'm missing. I can't get any replies from them so I'm a bit stuck at the moment...

The supplier didn't reply (twice) so I've had no luck whatsoever regarding the aerial. I'll keep at them though...

Ok, I'll have another fiddle with the wires and try and push them out of the units way. Regarding the aerial, that definitely hasn't come with mine, was it a separate wire to order?

I received mine today and have just installed it, but I've got a niggle or two (most likely due to my lack of technical ability) that I was wondering if you could answer for me...

The first was about the iPod connection into the back of the radio. The wire comes out the back and faces downwards, meaning it gets stuck and stops the unit being pushed into place.

The second issue wasn't an issue as such, the TV aerial for the digital TV doesn't seem to have been supplied with it (or if it is, I don't know which wire it is!), I wondered if you had an image of the wire or if you knew what the wire looked like and how it connected.

I'll try the Nokia offline maps as mentioned above because that could be really good 

Sat Nav doesn't need internet providing you download one with off-line maps... I'm still trying to find a good one to be honest, or waiting for Navplus in Italy to confirm what the proper model is underneath the skin so I can update the one already installed.

 

For Google and any internet services you will need to tether off your phone unless you're parked outside your own house and you can simply connect to the wi-fi. I do this for any updates or for downloading new Apps...

Ok great! If you find a decent one before Navplus reply, let me know, but it'd be good to use the navigation that's provided. if once installed I've got any niggles I'll have to pester you! Or as you say, if possible I could swing by one day and come have a look at yours.

Ok cool, should be simple enough  I meant to ask, in order to use the sat nav, internet etc. that's built in, will it require tethering to my phone in order to use this? It's probably a daft question because otherwise I don't know where it would receive signal from!

It's not arrived as of yet, but it should be here this week. This is a question that may have been asked before - does anybody know how to remove the radio unit (the silver plastic surround, and the actual standard radio unit (screen bit) that comes on the non-sat nav versions)?

Ah great, in that case it shouldn't be too difficult - I'll order one this week so hopefully I can install it soon and get some pictures posted!

I'll purchase one at some point this week I think, installing sounds a bit technical but if I can't manage it I'll find someone who can (I don't know the first thing about messing with a car). Thanks though, you've definitely solved the question I had and more!

Looks great, I'm amazed by the number of apps and the fact it also has Digital TV (how does that work by the way)? Yeah mine came with the standard non-sat nav radio, so I was in the same position as you. It'd be good to have a look actually, and also if you're able to sort the password and left/right hand door opening dash light issue then let me know (not that its a huge problem!). I'll PM you about possibly having a look one day, but otherwise you've certainly answered my question, and I'll be sure to check out that link

That's great, can't tell you how much help you've been! I had seen the NavPlus around but wasn't sure where to buy it, and also if it would be compatible with the standard radio (single din) - if you could post a picture or two that'd be brill, I'll also check out the video.

Hi, I'm pretty new to the forum, and just wondered if anyone had had any experience fitting an aftermarket stereo/sat nav to a Delta before - I was looking at one of the new Pioneer CarPlay Apple ones, but Halfords removed the facia in my Delta and said it was impossible to fit (their exact words) - even with the double din facia I'd bought. So, has anyone else ever tried (and/or failed)? Or is it possible to install a manufacturer sat nav (if purchased) that would've come in a higher specification Delta?

you could order from local dealer but it will be expensive I would guess about £300 (yes really!!) have you thought about getting yours refinished? it is a very dark grey metallic and as far as I can see the grille is otherwise identical. another option might be to buy one off an owner who has Lancia'd their car .....maybe you should  PM paskey16 as he was looking to change his?  

Good advice, thank you! £300 does sound rather a lot, so maybe the dealer isn't on the list, yeah I believe the shape and style of them is identical, so maybe I could get it refinished or something, or as you suggest ask another member (if anyone had one and wouldn't mind selling it... )

Hi all, I'm new to the forums and am a Chrysler Delta owner also! I wasn't sure where to ask, but there seem to be a lot of knowledgable people here so I thought I'd give it a go. I was wondering if anyone knew if the black Chrysler Momo grille is available anyway (eBay, from Cheysler etc.) - I'm not looking to rebadge mine to Lancia (sorry!), though it is tempting, but wondered if anyone knew if the black Chrysler grille is even something that can be bought on its own.

Nello is very chuffed - the one good thing about the Delta now being unavailable in the UK is the dealers are trying to dispose of all their options............. Just found some factory Illuminated sills for £30   They were three-figure crazy money as a new option from your local friendly dealer....  I'll post photos once fitted 

I've been looking for some parts for my Delta (the illuminated sills were on the list), where did you manage to find them at such a good price?
