  1. price is decent, can ask for discount as non MOT.  back springs are common problem as they tend to snap.

Will cost  you 150 to get new springs. get eibach lowering springs. that is what I do have on my one.

at 65k you will look to change all....cambelt,oil filters, water pump. my cluch went as well. that was £900 with the flywheel.

    so you do your math.....

as I got everything changed in a span of 6 months ,i did not felt it and since then I've done 30k with only front rotors and pads every corner and oil and filters....

  2. I have always felt my 2.0 was lacking a bit of Italian oomph, now I have found the reason why.

While changing the EGR cooler which was leaking  (and a common problem it seems) I found a blue silicon pipe that was looking old, tired and possible split. In removing it the pipe crumbled into three parts, it was indeed past its best. It seems this pipe is a vacuum pipe and goes to some sensor/valve type thing (maybe VNT valve) and it replacement has resulted in restoring many lost stallions and a 4mpg improvement. Driveability has improved with turbo lag reduced and application of the brakes as smoother and does not grab when braking lightly, I guess it was affecting the servo somehow.

Tricky little thing to get at though as it is barely visible and not sure on the best way the reach it without removing the EGR cooler which is a PITA, guess there is a way though.

Anyway, two pics, first is general area, look for a metal pipe and union at approx 45 degrees in the centre of the pic, and behind that is the blue silicone pipe, although the old one had gone milky blue/white with age.

    hi....

do you have part number or reference from where to get it?

  4. hi, happen to me as well. it turn out to be battery. I had to get charger first and try to charge battery , did not worked. i had original battery that lasted till 76 000 or so ml.

the moment I got new battery and all went back to normal. hope that helps.

  5. hi, new to this but, i just find that I got water ingress from god knows where....wet is around third pillar ,on ceiling liner on left hand side.

strange thing is that there is no holes, damage on gaskets or any rubber there....car is usually tilted other way so no reason water to even get there.

but still ,soaking wet. Anyone had a problem like this ?

after few h. of working and removing stuff I am thinking that is :

    - antenna on roof....

-back wiper pipe line damaged-- is still working and spraying lots of liquid....

-water finds way through hinge bolt....

i have put back all together and cleaned all gaskets and will wait and see if that will dry out.

for your well problem...there are few factory holes there....just pop plastic cap off and you will be ok.

also you should have 6 mm thread hole for spare tire fixing rod.
