  1. Mate, I've recently had exactly the same problem. My factory fitted stereo packed up. Chrysler want £2,100 for a new one! So I replaced it with a Sony DIN system. I searched Google and YouTube and it didn't look easy, so I went to a professional stereo company. My car has a Boston amplifier. The problem you have is the factory stereo talks to the car's computer through the CANBUS wiring network. When you turned on your old factory stereo it spoke to the computer, the computer then told the amp to switch on, and also activated the steering wheel controls and display up on the dash. Your new aftermarket stereo isn't talking to the computer.

The company I used had to order a special wiring adaptor from the good ol' US of A. You'll have to do the same my friend.

Call Braybrooks in-car Entertainments for advice. Based in Tewin, Hertfordshire and ask for Neil. 08000 520 292. www.braybrooks.co.uk

It'll work mate, you just need to spend more money on it.

This is what I want more info on.

I am guessing the pin 7 to 10 is front left right  and back with a common ground to the amp.

and then the amp will need a 12v+ to turn on

So Im after a pin put for the input of the amp.

or maybe a way of tapping the sat nav line in.

  2. Hope people can help.

    I have a 300c 2007,

I am trying to change the head unit over. I have power for the radio, but no sound.

I am still trying to work out what all the wires are doing.

    From mu photo

Pair:     Gray / Green = 12+ on the left

Pair:     Black / Green = Ground

    this leave 3 Pairs

This is not enough cable???  for the Speakers, unless it is sending a digital signal to the amp???

Is the amp always on, or would this be controlled but the radio.

    From what I have seen

pins 7 and 8 should be front right

pins 9 and 10 should be front left

I don't have cables where the rear speaker should be on 18 to 21

With the standard head in I do have left right front and back.

Do I need a 12v feed to triger the built in amp.

What am I Missing here. I am aware I might need a LOC "Line Output Converter"

    Hope someone can help
