Not sure about a setting for the rear lights with DRL's as most cars suffer the same problem. But there definitely will be a region for the central display to get it to say 'Lancia'... It's just having a play with the menu's in Examiner to find it. Just like the Meta alarms, with the right country region set you can make it silent for arm/disarm and only flash the lights. I did that on my 939 Spider, Brera and 1750tbi 159SW.
I spoke to an Alfa tech about the splash screens and he said that he thought most units had all the logos in the software but decided what to display according to what it read in the body computer. The conclusion being basically that you could change it but it would probably change itself back.... It just never seemed worth the hassle of pursuing

Sounds like a return to the Delta one day then Alan
No it was way too dull to drive! I just like those wheels would hate to sell them then find I have a car that I'd like them on.
-
I'll try to remember to look
-
I have the centres plus a set of used wheels not sure if I'll part with any of them TBH though those wheels are scarce
-
My impression on Delta prices is the cheap (and maybe not so cheap) ones definitely have a catch. Because these cars are cheap used and most have changed hands a few times they are neglected and not driven with any sympathy (like 90% of cars these days really). The really decent cars are worth the extra price!

An ypsilon cover can be put on a delta bag of that helps (bag is different but cover identical, it's not difficult to swap covers). I would probably swap over the bag (or at least the bomb whatever it's called, gas generator?) even if you got a Delta one as at least you know your original is good. Be aware that I think I've read that some late bags have different connectors.Currently trying to track don the driver's air bag. There are 4 for sale on eBay in Italy, all at pretty fair prices. Just none of them want to deliver to the UK.
Anyone who's done this got any suggestions? My lack of Italian isn't helping.

Is this stupid expensive and not worth it, or are all Abarth's like this?
Just looked at my local online classifieds and found the 2 cheapest Abarth 500's.
2011: Currently on 5th owner, 120,000 kms, automatic, cabriolet, asking 11,500 quid
2012: Currently on 6th owner, 105,000 kms, automatic, cabriolet, asking 11,500 quid
would love to experience one, i just get the impression that it's too tall and top heavy.
Not all that top heavy really, auto isn't a good idea probably also better to go without convertible or sunroof. Series 4 cars are nicest (from about June 2016). Not really all that fast but great fun.

When I bought my Delta it replaced an MG ZT, I'd say the engine was way better but ride, handling and comfort much better on the MG. Reliability of Delta was streets ahead though, the MG was a bit of a nightmare, still one of my favourite cars though.

You're just having a mid-life crisis Rosso!
It's like lust and not love... Your hard-on eventually softens and you realise you need some longer term stimulation!
Nope it's just fine

The reversing light is on the bumper! Italians want these for RHD as they are reversed position for some sort of mod
-
Abarth competizione is the answer of you are after modern day fun, I don't miss my (Chrysler) Delta at all TBH the Abarth is an addiction
-
Egr cooler cheaper from Vauxhall specialists

Did you ever move on that spare set of 18" Limited Alloys Alan?
No still have them they are a bit tatty need a refurb not sure really whether to keep them for future use or not they are such a rare wheel
-
In my experience with 18in wheels Goodyear suit it best and are what they fitted when new, either efficient grip performance or for better driving feel eagle F1 asymmetric 3 both are relatively quiet and have what I consider acceptable ride (very subjective really).
-
If it's vibration simply when idling it could be an engine mounting
-
I didn't see my old one so don't know if oe is plastic. I used metelli replacement

Neil
Limited is 2.0, belts and pump should have been done some time ago at that mileage. I would comment though that it is actually possible the belts etc were done but wth a substandard water pump. My reliable independent garage will not normally fit pattern water pumps on any make because he has had so many issues. He did fit one I supplied for mine (or should I say my ex-delta) but he knows I wouldn't buy crap.
-
Mine is now sold, not sure whether to be chuffed or to cry will hate to see it go! Anyway more importantly it's going to a Lancista so will be looked after and I've covered my repair costs I've had over and above the trade in value. It's a fabulous car for the money they really are under valued.

Once your got it though the next MOT fixed the hole in the bumper and so on it would probably not be much cheaper than mine.
