Just done my power steeling belt on a 2.5 crd engine witch i think are similar to the 2.8 had to get a tool to do the job as there is no adjustment for the belt got quotes 35 to 90 pounds for the tool but got one from ebay for a tenner done the job hope this helps. look on ebay for a laser Stretchy Belt Installation Tool .

All sorted out got some redex diesel cleaner and some redex diesel injector cleaner and went for a drive cut out 2 or 3 times then all ok .
