I have a 2011 2.8 crd ltd auto fully loaded. I purchased this last year with 18k on the clock, and in a year it's at 42k , I've had it independently serviced, but transmission oil not checked, as its under the car.
Recently it's started missing gears, and now more frequently it's getting stuck in first gear, with high revs.
I've had it diagnosed at 2 different garages with P0734, P0792 and P1790 codes. The garage who are transmission specialists have said they need to strip the transmission and recondition all the parts at a cost of £1500
can anyone please advise if there is a simpler less costly option or do I go back to the garage. I need to get the car back on the road ASAP
