Not definitely not normal. You should see boost in every gear.

I was in the car and preparing to drive yesterday evening when a gentleman came and knocked on the driver's window asking me how much the car costs because his daughter saw it and instantly fell in love with it. When I said that it's a 2011 model and that it has been completely discontinued since 2015 his eyes popped out and said 'but it looks like new'!! Mind you, this happened in Brussels, where the model is not so uncommon. Although 11 years old already,  the design easily stands out from anything the competition of the category has to offer even today, and if well maintained it looks like a much more luxurious and expensive car than what it really is. In "Lancia" version the effect is even stronger. The 'Chrysler' version has ruined the effect somehow.

This could even be a dirty fuse in the fusebox, that happened with my wife's Delta, the left-hand front DRL stopped working, so I got a new one and fitted it,to discover that the fuse powering it had some corrosion on the blade . . After removing the bumper to fit the new light

Hi and welcome - good to see another new owner. Not aware of any dash issues like these - sounds like it might be the dash illumination which are possibly bulbs behind the dash pod? New one to me. The rear light will probably be due to an issue with one of the LED's - once one goes they tend set off the others. As far as I am aware you cannot replace them individually so would be interested to see how they fixed? It was probably done as new the clusters are circa £250 to replace although you can get them from Italy if you know where to look (we can help on here!) for half that...........It might be worth checking on any Fiat Bravo forum re: the dash issue as they are effectively the same car so similar build/asssembly processess unless anyone else on here knows..........

Agree with Andrew - my MA Turbo goes really well considering the cars dimensions. Boost-leak perhaps? Definitely not normal........ Welcome to the forum BTW and hope you get it sorted.

    Hi Guys,

A little late but never too late. For future readers and reference I let you know that my problem has been solved.

Despite her perfect looks when bought, the car needed som serious maintenance like rubbers and control arm included cam belt change and tires (Pirelli's).

The strange 'spaces' if felt when steering have disappeared.

    Cheers

Got home from the rig and the nice people at Swansea have written to me.  So right now I am the proud first ever owner of AP12 VXC!

Weirdly the V5 says 'first used elsewhere in the UK', which - if you've been following this - we know is B-S & is what caused all the faffing about in the first place; Guernsey isn't in the UK or EU.

Never mind, tomorrow will transfer the GAS plate over & that is finally that!

Hi Nico, and welcome to the club!

The Navi unit will require the loom as the connections will be different. Unfortunately most used units don't come with any wiring, so you'll find it difficult to install.

My advice would be to go for a good quality branded aftermarket unit instead as it will be much more straight forward to fit.

Did my front discs & pads last week, 16k miles in Guernsey have been hard on them.  Lots of braking in the lanes & not much speed to cool them down I guess?  Also got given the wrong pads initially, much too small, but ones for a Fiat Bravo were the required item.  Bit awkward without a reg number at the minute!

Those locating pegs are on ebay Tim:  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Fiat-Lancia-Alfa-Romeo-Brake-Disc-Drum-Wheel-Locating-Screw-4221815/264410226019?fits=Car+Make%3AFiat&epid=1425268447&hash=item3d9013dd63:g:gLcAAOSwIKZdOuKi

With you on the Ghibli Neil, its a lovely thing.

I've had 4 75s and a ZT since 2003, I had 200s, 400s and 800s prior to that for 20 odd years. This one is a very early Japanese spec, 2.5 V6 with pretty much every option available at launch, including Personal Line leather and Heritage Collection paint.

I've been a Britcar guy pretty much all my life. However I have to say the Delta is probably the first car I've really bonded with and want to keep since I first got in to a 75.

My Mum's partner has had quite a few 75's - they are flippin' heavy! ...... Comfy and quite spacious though. And I used to live next door to someone who was high up within the Rover Group who had at one point the 4.6 ZT V8...... Sounded ace!  My next four-door has to be a Ghibli

It's a set of Lancia ones, I found one front & one rear of opposite sides on ebay & Alfashop got the other 2.

Will do, think we may be over around half term in October.

Nice one Mike, glad it's all coming together for you! I've used Alfashop loads over the years, and Jamie Porters Workshop too. Both great for anything fiat-alfa- lancia...

For me changing the airbag was one of the biggest impacts on the interior look and feel, so a great thing to get ticked off the list!

Nello reacted to TJB in Gear Knob Replacement.
Before taking the plunge, I decided to take the old knob off and check the fixings / dimensions. As you can see from the pic below. Fitting the Renegade knob would have meant filing a flat on to the gear stick. So I decided against that, and went down the refurb route. Clean and flat with 1200 grit, 2 coats of aluminium paint  4 of clear lacquer later. Job done.

Total cost; zero as I'd the paint left over from another job.

I still might look for an alternative, but I don't dislike the original. I'll see how this turns out.

Now I know where the screws are and how it all comes apart I think I could probably get the bits off in about 20-30 minutes.

    Remove the glove box.
    Remove Trim near the door.
You can then remove the glove box housing, once this is out you can easily see the 3 motors.

(Important note: There is something sat on top of the glove-box housing, looks very much like something to do with the air bag or immobiliser, I chose not to unplug it and set it to one side.)

The passenger mixing motor is the hardest to get to, two of the bolts you can easily put a socket on the third is a little more difficult and has wires and a bolt in the way.

I've yet to find anywhere to buy just the plastic actuator arms, the motors are about £70, but my motors work as far as I can see.
