2002 Poss Fuel Issue

Good evening gents

I have a fault explained to me from my friends girlfriends mum she has a 2002 v6 with the engine hunting she has explained to me that the revs die off and kind of strugglings at 39 mph on the flat and on hills and the fault doesnt happen all the time I am a fully qualified technician and I am thinking this maybe a fuel related issue?? Poss fuel filter or air being dragged in some where? I haven't had much to do with these cars if I am honest and turning to u guys for a little help or someone has come across this before?

Similar problem in my cortina (HALly 99N) - ended up with the AA...

 

A fly or bee's leg in carb

Check fuel system - filters - lines - sludge dragged through with an empty tank?

 

Petrol of dubious quality?

 

Fuel pump not working ..... so much with limited info.

Perhaps a faulty throttle position sensor (TPS), damaged wiring to it, corroded plug?

 

Check to see if it has stored any DTCs.

Many voyagers require a new fuel filter housing and sensor/wiring, was part of a service news.

hi did you find the fault as i have the same problem with my 03 v6 thought it was fuel filter but told by 2 garages including a chrysler specialist the filter is lifetime filter and dont need replacing

have changed both o2 sensers checked all exhaust for any holes 

all pipes for holes cant find no leaks
