  1. Hello, does anyone know the fuel filter location on the voyager CRD? I can’t seem to find it. I think it’s a canister type fuel filter. Engine struggles to start and when it does I get a plume of exhaust coming out and then it runs fine. Problem is that starting it take so long it often runs my battery low. it’s 2006 model, right hand drive. thanks
  2. Hello everyone Was browsing Gumtree yesterday and stumbled across a 2010 Grand Voyager. Seems to be fully loaded, in an excellent condition both in and out. The only problem being its 3.8 V6 is knackered and it needs a new engine (hence a pricetag of £2800). I was wondering if it would be possible to take the 3.8 V6 out and since an engine swap will have to be done anyway, put a 2.8 CRD in it? Here's what I have gathered so far: -Both 3.8 V6 and 2.8 CRD use Chrysler's 62TE 6-speed automatic gearbox from 2008 onwards, so the gearbox can stay. -Apart from the engine itself, the fuel system will have to be changed (pumps, lines, etc), also the engine will need a turbo, an intercooler, exhaust, ECU and some of the wiring, which is all sourceable where I live. Also, it will need obvious little things such as new dashboard, and mounts). -The engine on its own is around £1000, with all the accessories it shouldn't exceed £2000. The 2.8 2010 Voyagers start at £9000, so even if I exceed my estimations by £1000, it will still be a nice investment. The thing is, I have already sourced a 3.8 V6 for this exact year and model, although with all the cost involved, I wouldn't be too keen to keep it for 2 reasons- first, the road tax is at its maximum of £515/yr. Second, it is not the best daily as it guzzles petrol at 23mpg (LPG conversion is useless with the nearest station being 50 miles away). Also the 3.8 V6 has a bad resale value so it wouldn't be smart to invest in it. What do you think? Anyone else have experience here with engine swaps and what else might be needed? Thanks in advance

  4. Hello everybody, since long time I am looking for the complete workshop manual for the Chrysler Voyager III, year 1996, 2.0L, 16V gasoline SOHC 98KW engine. This car is very comfortable and I like to keep doing maintenance myself on my cars. I am currently renewing the cylinder head, replacing the head gasket, etc... after 350,000Km. Would someone have any hint on where to download it from? I would appreciate very much your feedback. Thanks a lot in advance! Best, Giulio
  5. I have 2003 voyager 2.5 crd. The handbrake warning light is continually on. I have checked the handbrake switch and have power to it and seems to work as it should ie break the circuit when the handbrake is released. My brake fluid is topped up and all the brakes work OK including the handbrake. Is there a brake fluid sensor? On a lot of vehicles there's one situated on the reservoir bottle cap but not on my voyager. Please help anyone?
  6. Hi, Are there any chrysler voyager lovers there in Croydon? I have 2 now, and i need to move parts from 1 to the other. Need some assistance, so if anybody is able to help, that would be great. Thanks Mike: East Croydon, CR0 1HE.
  7. Hi, I need help! I have a 2005 Grand Voyager XS limited 3.3l auto box. This past week, the car suddenly wont start. It has been to 2 separate independent garages who have checked all of the fuses, fuel pump, relays etc and all appears to be fine. What they did say was that the voltage of the ECU was low (which would fit in with the error on the car dashboard which was that the ASD relay had a low voltage). But they have looked at the ASD and it appears to be fine. My question is has anyone had a similar experience, my local Chrysler/Jeep dealer (Yorkshire) cant fit me in for a diagnostic alone for 3 weeks which is a nightmare as I am really struggling without the car! Does this sound like the ECU, does anyone know of anyone who can look at it and fix and any indication of cost? Any recommendations will be most appreciated. Thanks
  8. Hi, I have 2005 Grand Voyager 2.8CRD Automatic I have just done ATF Oil and filter change for regular maintenance been no problems in past, now gearbox it kicks at low speed, I believe problem related to part store providing wrong ATF I asked for ATF+4 but they provide ATF 4000 insisting this was new improved version of ATF+4, is this true? Plus just been to local garage see if possible for flush of old ATF basically said no and the gearbox is Mercedes Benz box so need to take car to Merc Garage is this true that 4th Gen 2.8 CRD have Merc Auto Gearbox? Has anyone experienced similar issues? Thanks:)

  10. Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone could help me..... Bought a lovely Voyager secondhand about a month back and after 2 weeks or so driving it the engine light has come on and will randomly go into limp home mode (2nd or 3rd gear) if we pull over and restart the engine it seems to be ok for a little while but then goes into limp mode some time after! I rang around and found a guy who plugged his diagnostic machine in and read the codes to be the following: 24 Hydraulic pressure test failure Chrysler DTC Code: 32 SAE Trouble code : P0845 i daren't take this beauty to the Chrysler garage as we are very limited on funds at the moment and at £150 an hour this is something i simply cannot afford at this present time! (We have just replaced gearbox and clutch on our other vehicle!) Now is this 2 separate issues, or one issue? (DTC code and SAE code) the guy who popped over said just to replace the Solenoid pack, but i am dubious on spending £200 if it doesn't solve it! Anyone????
