I am guessing that the battery has gone in the remote. I will be walking back to work to try the other remote later Is it much of a faff to change the battery in the remote ? Unfortunately that was when the car was locked up and we were out just after we moved which didn't exactly endear us to our new neighbours - oops At the moment it doesn't work as the relay is on my desk !
