Help My Battery Is Flat And I Cant Unlock The Doors!

Went out to the car to take the kids to school this morning and pressed the unlock button on the fob and nothing happens. Ive tried all the buttons. My neighbour says my battery is flat and has offered to give me a jump start but we cant get the bonnet open without getting in the car! Help!

Hi and WELCOME TO THE FORUM

 

As above, if you look at the end of your fob where the key ring part is, you can pull out a conventional key, and then if you go to the passenger side front door (uk spec vehicle) you can insert the key in the lock and manually unlock the door. Once you have jump started the car you can then unlock all the doors with the remote fob.

Ha, I'm such a ditz, it's a 2009 UK model

 

And low and behold, I've now found my "spare" key - thanks so much! I'll be off to see my neighbour after lunch and hopefully get it started again :)

Your welcome, let us know how you get on. Unfortunately its not uncommon for voyagers to have battery problems or should I say crap batteries fitted!
