Question

Hi,

According to "The Chrysler Range Price List" issued in August 2011, "XENON option with Headlamp washers" was available for the particular Grade SR/Limited only.

Is anyone driving Chrysler DELTA SR or Limited with this option ?

Thank you in advance for the favorable reply.

Hi, I have these on my LTD. A great improvement over the Xenons on my old Alfa GT, although not as crisp as the new LED lights on Audi, BM etc

Hi ForzaLancia, Thanks for your response. Let me confirm your car is Chrysler DELTA III Limited(RHD) and equipped with Optional Waterjet and XENON ?

Hello

My delta also have this xenon headlights and waterjet options and i am not satisfied about lighting. I have a plan to order new headlights and if i remember correctly they are D2S type xenon (Not sure) but high beams are normal

Also D2S types had to use halogen lights externally for high beams. because it reaches full luminescence level after 1-2 seconds. Therefore, while the low beams are not on, the other cars may not receive a warning when the flash is needed.

Examples of this headlight are the astra h and w211 models. There is also a halogen lights for high beam separate from the lens.

New generation D1S or D3S lights instantly reach full lighting level. you can flash it many times. In these types, there is no need for halogen reflectors and the headlights have started to consist only of lenses.

While the dipped headlights are on, the D2S type lens switches from short to long and the halogen bulb lights up. (Our cars like this)

This is my knowladge about xenon lights equipped at Delta, i hope it can be helpfull.

Greetings from Istanbul

and plus the washers and a different screen wash tank!   and bumper!!! :o  :o

Thank you very much for the part numbers. Now I am able to ask my part supplier for quote.
And sorry to confuse you that my car is Waterjet/XENON equipped from its(maybe her?) birth. My car, Lancia DELTA LHD 1.6D Multijet(GOLD SELESPEED) is running on a Left-hand Traffic country.

The U.K., India, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand… in these countries we normally drive RHD car since national road is Left-hand Traffic however, my delta is LHD(not RHD) and naturally possesses Headlights for LHD p/n as;
OE p/n 51876359 HEADLAMP LH H1 Xenon - LHD
OE p/n 51876363 HEADLAMP RH H1 Xenon - LHD

Thus, every 2 years compulsory National CAR INSPECTION(similar to MOT in the U.K.) in my country meets slight difficulty to align the headlight beam, in order to avoid flashing against oncoming traffic, adjustment needs fairly low/left aiming so as to pass the test, in the result the night driving is not bright enough. So, I would like to solve this issue by swapping the headlights from Lancia DELTA LHD XENON genuine parts to Chrysler DELTA RHD XENON genuine parts. The project will be just XENON to XENON.

Regarding the points you have kindly mentioned;
" will need other stuff like the bulbs, different DLRs, ballasts, an ECU and maybe a wiring change and plus the washers and a different screen wash tank!   and bumper!!! "
I suppose/hope all of them including instrument display(=Expression of ECU) will accept the replacement.

Only one thing, BIG anxiety is AFS system may work opposite direction or somewhere else..
AFS ADAPTIVE LIGHTS(Adaptive XENON Lights) seen on pp.77/104 on Chrysler Delta OWNERS HANDBOOK issued in the U.K.
As you know it works Headlight beam automatically aiming to inner direction of cornering using car info(velocity/corner angle/steering speed), would you please forecast some problem might be involved?

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

good point, forgot about adaptive headlamps, they can be switched off though, at least on my car.

Thank you for your idea of AFS switch off. According to page104, the switch must push every time engine started up. That is cumbersome but needs night driving only so OK.

As to the p/n given, my parts supplier replied to me as "PART UNKNOWN" error. I wonder last digit "0" should be omitted or not ?

Would you please upload the images for labelling on actual Headlamp upper view both sides ?

Appreciating your time and sorry for bothersome.

I found some in Poland for around £170 for one Tha

I really thank you for your pictures. I will submit these to my parts supplier.

Alternatively, I think your found price is absolutely reasonable and wonder is it a used price ?  Please let me know how I can reach the site ? By browser search or seek with particular shop name or numbers etc. ?

And if you need replacement for the same item, can you really obtain in Britain ?

Further assistance please, thank you..

I just typed in the part number and Delta to Google and a few suppliers came up. I recognised to Polish currency and converted it to get GDP, there were other options but not sure where. Just a thought I may be wrong but I thought the beam pattern could be switched with Xenons from LHD to RHD by moving some lever, or us that on other makes rather than Lancia, or have a dreamed it? Yes, thank you. Google search returns some as you mentioned however, they are all used and gone already, no valid advertisement found. Yes, once I thought similar idea the beam cut line could be reversed via turn cut off plate for 180 degree or equivalent way. In any way my DELTA is nearly a decade old, the surface of the lights turns yellowish even tried to polish them so anyway I would like to replace to new parts hopefully same XENON but for RHD(Left-hand Traffic) parts.

Do you think your existing headlights once needs to be replaced in any reason, can you purchase new genuine parts on the net or locally?  It may be better to discuss this topic further via e-mail or not (if you do not mind) ? But I do not know how I can show you mine.
