Diagnostic Obd2 Scanner/reader

Question

Hi everyone.

Ive owned my 300c now for 8 years and always done all the maintenance myself. But just last week ive had a few electrical problems.

Ive used a few OBD2 scanners and all have come up with different results.

My question is. Has anyone purchased one of these BLUEDRIVER OBD2 scanners ? And if so. What is the support for the 3.0 CRD ?

I emailed BLUEDRIVER this morning and the reply i got was as follows.....

Any vehicle purchased in Europe in 2001+ (petrol) or 2004+ (diesel) will support reading/clearing all engine and emissions codes (Check Engine Light), as well as Live Data, Mode 6 (if supported by the vehicle), Smog Check, and MIL Status.

Enhanced codes (ABS, airbags, anything other than the check engine light) are available for most compatible vehicles from GM, Ford, Chrysler (including 2013+ Fiat), Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mercedes (2005+), Mitsubishi (2008+), and Hyundai (2013+). Unfortunately we are not able to test Europe only makes/models ourselves (e.g. Opel, Renault, etc) so we are not able to guarantee that specific systems will be readable on specific vehicles.

We don't have the diesel option here so I can't guarantee that this won't interfere with some systems, but we did get the 3.0 CRD in the Jeep Grand Cherokee and it works the same as the petrol models, so it should be the same - we just can't guarantee it 100%.

Additionally, repair reports and VIN decoding are not currently available in Europe as our data provider is not GDPR compliant.

So......

Im ready to take the plunge on this and purchase one on the off chance it will work because these things have some awesome reviews State side. But thought id put it out there first incase any of you guys already have one and have no problems with the functions.

Thanks in advance !

Haha yeah i think i am because i can't find anyone with one. It's £99.00 on Amazon direct from Bluedriver themselves. Its been out for quite some time now. Although the earlier reviews wernt that good when it first came out in 2012 i think it was. After the updates over the years, and its latest 7.0 update its becomming stronger and stronger and getting noticed and awarded by alot of sites. Its also one of the only ones that is a legit worldwide company and is licenced. and has fantastic customer support. I guess the updates will keep on comming along with its yearly price increase.

Ill update this thread if i purchase one within the next few weeks

HI.

I am trying to find out how can delete an EGR fault code (if I get one) when I block my EGR off but leave it in situe.
Im buying a CRD so the first job is the EGR to give me a cooler air intake which improves economy (if there is one with the CRD)

the next one will be the DPF delete but I feel I might have to get a re map for that.

I was wondering if buying an OBD2 scanner is worth it if I cant do any one this.

I'd like to fit after market parking sensors on the front also so dont want a fault flagging up for those

If spending a little more for the one listed I"m more than happy.
