Automatic Shutdown Device Fuse Keeps Blowing

Question

Hi all, I need some help and ideas. I have a european spec. 2009 Chrysler Grand Voyager fitted with the VM Motori 2.8 CDR Deisel engine.

Every so often the engine just cuts out and lately it cut out while driving along. The problem is that the fuse to the ASD (Hash 3) (Fuse M21) has blow. I replace the fuse and I'm off again, until the next time it blows. I understand that this fuse controls a number of items via a relay. Can anyone tell me exactly what the fuse actually does and cast any light on what might be causing the fuse to blow. Thank you all in advance.
