Oem Radio Replaced But No Sound. Help?

Question

Hi,

I've just replaced my radio after the screen went blank.

Bought a replacement Becker radio off Ebay, complete with code, operating manual, and FM antenna.

Fitted the replacement unit (didn't replace the FM aerial module), entered code OK.

New unit powers up, all information shows on screen, but zero sound coming out on radio or CD/DVD.

Although the previous unit had a blank screen, CD's still played so I guess this rules a problem with the amp out.

Any advice, please?

Hi m8 I changed mine and same prob so I had to find the amp that was in the rear off side wall right at the back and disconnect it then connect all the wires back together but it's a time consuming job as the wires don't go to the same colours but I did it in the end so good luck m8 but it is possible

This ex regular is electronics trained, here is his blog. http://www.thebmwz3.co.uk/2017/12/chrysler-audio-system-amplifier-and.html?m=1

He put a flip up AIO in his GV, I've sat in it, seen it installed and working.
