Sat Nav Issue

Question

Hi all

My sat nav has stopped working - can't seem to find any satellites - only noticed it yesterday and its no big problem as I know the way to and from work

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what might be the problem

Its the Chrysler version (not aftermarket)

I did kill a rabbit on the way home yesterday so maybe its karma catching up with me (wasn't deliberate)

I realise the irony of my signature too  :P

Not getting the signature bit Spud as you don't seem to have one?

Regarding the Nav, try removing the micro SD card and reinserting it. If that doesn't cure it try powering down the head unit and then back on again. The system could have froze... If neither cure it try the factory reset procedure. If it's not software related then you might need to check the GPS aerial is connected in the back of the head unit or there is no damage to the GPS cable.

Thanks Mikey

Tried removing the SD card and powering off the unit but no difference

Do you mean disconnect the battery by "factory reset" or is there a specific reset procedure for the head unit - would pulling the relevant fuse do the same job?

If I have to remove the unit, do you know where the GPS aerial is located and where the cable is routed between it and the head unit? - theres feck all info on this unit on line that I can find

Cheers

My signature is rabbit related  :D  "You know how that rabbit feels......"
