Fault Code U1008 No Power Limp Mode

Evening, apologies been neglecting site for a while back in with the 300c and i am running at a loss.

 

Any guidance help or info widely appreciated

 

Car starts and runs

 

However it appears to be in limp mode, slow to rev slow to drive No smoke or surges. Just really dam slow.

 

Fault codes comes up time and time again U1008

Lin bus 1 is shorted to ground or earth.

 

3.0 CRD 2006 Way under powered.

 

Is the fault code the cause again its described in so many different ways.

 

Please help before i pull my lack if hair out!

Just a update as well i have 2 other codes showing

 

U1409 Implausible left front speed signal received

U140C implausible right rear speed signal received

 

Cars reving right up to 3600-3700 rpm before changing gear.

And feels like lack of power

Hi, the two bottom codes will be to do with the relucter rings on the wheels, or the actual cable/sensor wire damaged to the wheels

 

A common problem with these cars is that the magnetic rings rust on the wheel bearings so the sensor can't read the speed from that wheel, this in turn puts the car in limp mode. You can buy the rings and sensors separately but might be a better idea to change the bearing at the same time, but before you do any of that check the sensor cables from the wheel to see if they're damaged.
