Don't forget larger wheels will give a more jittery ride and 18s have marginal wheel arch space except on cars that were fitted with them from new. Be careful to check the offset also pcd as some Fiats have GM based chassis :-( but there are loads of wheels that should fit around Edited by Rossocorsa

Well I don't dislike horse shoes but they are very Alfa Romeo, the delta 18s were design for it and include the lancia shield motif, watch a delta fitted with them drive past you they look great very dynamic when turning. As with all things delta3 they look better in real life than in pics Edited by Rossocorsa

Alloys really make a car - the aesthetics are what alot of it is about for me......

I had Horsehoes on my old 159 Lusso - loved the looks but they were a bugger to clean with all those nooks and crannies.

I've hankered after a Ti for a while Stuart - nearly went for one before the Delta but the Tyre price put me off plus the wear rate on the Ti suspension setup.

I'm considering a Brera S to replace my Coupe LE but Tyre cost is a worry!

Anyway I really like the Limited Alloys Rosso - They were just too pricey when we bought ours for me but yours looks terrific  B)

Fact is you are still underneath it all alfista not lancista ;-)

Ha-ha maybe...Alfa Romeo until I die... :P

No in fairness I love all things Italian. If totally honest I prefer classic Lancia as I don't think current cars are built as well as Alfa, but in my 100k dream garage I'd have a Beta Coupe and a Montecarlo in a heartbeat...

Yeah that's a fair point and accepted. Perhaps hate was a little strong and as stated I probably need to see them in the flesh.

Tyre wear isn't as bad as the forums will let you believe tbh... Set the camber to zero and the car still drives well but with even wear. I've had two 159 ti's and a Brera with 19'' ti alloys and whilst larger are obviously more expensive I've managed decent miles between tyre change.

Here's my old babies:

I do hanker after a Brera S - was yours the 2.2 or V6?

Very nice indeed! I'm a bit of a caroholic in truth especially when it comes to Italy... I even got married there and had an old Spider for my wedding car.

The Brera wasn't petrol unfortunately as I used to do 40k plus business miles. It was the 2.4 5 cylinder diesel running massive power. 290+bhp, 502nm torque!

p.s. the 2.2 suffers from a hesitation flat spot on take off which is really annoying and can cause problems when pulling out of junctions. You can drive 'around' it, but the best option is to have it remapped out and fit an induction kit as they do sound dull.

The V6 isn't a bad unit but is very quiet in its delivery and not a patch on the older Busso V6 in the previous generation cars. Having said all that I do love the Brera, and the Prodrive collaboration did make for some nice tweaks to the suspension weight, ride, wheels and exhaust back boxes. They still look very 'exclusive' now! The rear seats aren't really for passengers unless your Mrs is small like mine and someone can sit behind... However the boot is a good size and the Bose hi-fi upgrade works well too!

Great work Rosso! My HPE was an all too brief encounter - great workhorse with plenty of room. I had twin Webers and a nice loud/zingy stainless exhaust.......I bought it from a fellow Lancisti with an EVO2 and sold it to an Autobianchi A110 owner  B) Though the wife hated it particularly after we ran out of petrol on the Coventry Inner ring road - typically Italian fuel gauge IIRC...

Going back to your Limited - I've noticed they have a twin exit exhaust showing? Is that just an add-on or is it a specific back box?

I had a montecarlo back in the late 80's loved it ... had to sell it as I'd just bought a flat and was short of money for carpets !...
