Question

Hi guys,

I am trying to decide where to buy spare parts for my next service, i am changing the cam belt with water pump.

This site says they supply originals and i have used them for Selena oil and paraflu coolant. https://www.shop4parts.co.uk

But the kit and water pump will cost over £90

My usual source https://m.autodoc.co.uk/

Will have brands like gates/bosch/continental for about 60 quids, but there have been reports of counterfeit stuff from china boxed neatly in branded boxes, and you can never be sure on line.

Any advice?

On more thing, if i am changing the water pump i would think it would be a good chance to drain and replace the coolant. How many litres of the para flu concentrate will i need.

Spark plugs, been around for 3 years, not causing any trouble, do i bother to replace them in the job as well. Ngk vs bosch

Much appreciated guys

Sorry I meant to reply to this the other day and got distracted... I only use Gates kits, and buy from reputable auto factors (shop4parts should be ok) rather than fleabay.

I'm assuming from the spark plug reference it's the 1.4ma, and isn't it Bosch plugs that's in from new? Can't remember as it's that long since I've had one, but stick with like for like if you can.

I did have a quick look for the coolant capacity, but can't find it. Does it say anything in the book, or ring a friendly tech?

Am a little late ,but my two cents worth re.servicing of our DELTA.

I have used Castrol Edge , essential to use ACEA C3 spec oil.

The plugs are NGK , and I have replaced the original set at 51.600 miles.they looked almost as good as new!!!....cost wise they can be almost £50 a set, but I picked some up for £27 ish.

There is an extra oil filter not mentioned in the handbook.....someplace in the top of the head.....this could be important as far as the valve gear life is concerned....I must investigate the method for a clean or change...

The air filter is a pain to change.....

May be a little late but

Have bought from autodoc, shop4parts and Jamie Porter Alfa specialist as mito bravo parts can be sought from them.

Went gates for cambelt kit

7 litres total for coolant capacity so 3-4 litres concentrate

Spark plugs ngk, changed mine at 48 and haven’t noticed much difference except it’s less fuel efficient!

Hope this helps
