Water Dripping

Question

So today I thought I'd change the oil on my new GV (mk IV 2.8CRD) because the oil lamp is coming on at high revs. Another question on that point is the Eurocarparts 5w/40 right?

I digress, I found a small pool of water just by the passenger side (UK) front wheel. Then I saw it dripping really slowly in that area.

Any ideas? Is the water pump around there?

As long as it is thin enough to flow at low temperatures and thick enough to perform satisfactorily at high temperatures where you live. 6L of 5W30 will perform correctly up to -25 degrees C and in 75 big round years of driving I've never seen those temps. Manky filter-change it !
