Auto Slipping Into Neutral While Driving

Question

Hi I have had an Ypsilon Automatic for a couple of years now and enjoy it.

However recently it has started a rather dangerous issue.

4 times now over the last 6 months it has slipped into neutral while driving and can't be put back into gear (either manual or auto mode).

This means I have to stop where I am and keep turning ignition on and off again for about 10 minutes until I can engage any gear again (after which it seems fine).

Obviously this can be very dangerous depending on where I am.

Every time this has happened within about 200 metres of the exact same place about 3/4 of a mile from my home.

For what it's worth; the start stop function stopped working about a year ago.

Any ideas greatly appreciated...

Hi wanad,

We had two of these Ypsilons, both had the same issue. It is a very easy and cheap fix, see my post here. http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/1623-dualogic-gearbox-issues/

Let me know if you need any further help.

Mike.

Thanks so much for your response, Mike. I'll have a read through your thread but great to hear it might not be £££ !
