Ves Headphones And Remote

Hi everyone.

We have a Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 CRD 2008 - recently.

Checking this entertainment system, it came with 4 headphones and 1 remote.

Can't get remote to work

and

2 of the headphones don't work either.

Has anyone tried any aftermarket remotes and headphones which work with this system?

How do you pair remote/headphones when bought.

I need to get at least one remote and 2 headphones so I have 4 working (4 kids).

Any info welcome.

Oh I have seen this listing for original but will cost a fortune - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151304506735?ViewItem=&item=151304506735

and my headphone code is 05107082AC and this is upgraded, presumably will still work.

thanks

hmmm so you have twin dvd's?

i do not have the originals...

i have this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wireless-Stereo-Headphones-Headset-Dual-Channel-IR-Infrared-For-Car-MP3-MP4-K5V5/152978166879?epid=1341410348&hash=item239e35945f:g:-t4AAOSw7p5aZru8

this ones have a button on the side off A or B depending on which screen you want to hear the sound from, the IR emitters are located in front of each dvd on ceiling. Should not matter how many headphones are connected.

for the remote... the car should of come with one.... only one like the one in your link ;i already bought the other 2 variants and are not working as one is for single dvd(the switch on the side is to select dvd1 or dvd2) and the dual with RGBY(red green blue yellow) buttons towards the bottom of it wont work either... should not need pairing.

workaround for myself for now is put a dvd on one screen in the ves and the other in the main unit and set it up for second screen you can mix and match as you want... like same dvd from main unit to play on both screens or the one from ves unit to work on both screens or one dvd on one and the other on the other...

this would be the remote in closer pics

my one is in customs and i am having second thoghts to pay the extra charge i received i have to pay today.(already paid 95£ including delivery) but because the seller declared a very high value on the parcel....seems that customs want me to pay another 35£... so be aware of buying things with high value from USA exceeding a certain amount.

Hi

Not sure about the twin dvd thing, we have the standard setup, so two screens in roof the ves unit up from but low down which is where I put the movie disc in and the screen in dash I believe can take another disk (I thought music). Unsure how to use it all yet but when I checked out the 4 headphones and the remote only have two working headphones, rest is dead.

That's the problem with buying from the States, custom fees make it a lot more expensive.

Thanks for the links.

Let me know if you get a working remote, thanks.

10 points question but probably the answer is yes. do you have sat nav? if yes pressing open on the side of the console tilts the centre console and you can insert either a dvd or disc of music.... in the menu you can route what you want to send to the dvd's either radio or video... the fact that you have to 2 rear dvd screens means you have 2 dvd's otherwise where the ves unit sits would be a empty pocket. Yes that is the remote i am waiting for also the other 2 i have do not work... at least for me...

to be fair i have not got to the dvd side of things for the kids yet, as i am working 7 out of 7, i concentrated on the mechanical part and maintenance first, i have the manual for the entertainment and stuff but did not had the time...

Ps: headphones have batteries and tend to play up, if left on...

Hi

Yes, same setup as yours.

I played around tonight and put a movie in the top and one in the ves at the bottom, managed to get two movies working, one on on flip down screen and other on the other flip down. Kids are well chuffed lol.

Going to order the headphones you linked and will also order remote from the link I posted earlier.  It is the exact image of ours and seller has confirmed just now that he has tested and all working fine.

Will let you know how it goes.

As for maintenance, silicone arrived today so definitely getting on with fuel filter change followed by transmission filter/oil change.  We've read through your notes and watched a few youtubes.  Still waiting on that dvd to arrive though, hoping it will come soon.

Getting their slowly ! but love the car and have already flattened all rear seats and used as van to bring furniture back to house. Win win I think.

Thanks
