Chrysler Le 1998 Problems? My First Chrysler

hi im new.purchasing a s plate grand voyager le.not know anything about cars.does it have a timing belt or chain?secondly the power stearing has gone.could this be pump.The car is a trade in vehicle and they have no service history on car.it has a mot till next year but that doent make it roadworthy i know.many thanks in advance.linda

Depends on the model the 3.3i V6 engines and above all have timing chains I know I have a 1998 model 3.3i LE auto.
