Have had trouble with the clock time as it does not hold its time after I complete my journey . I reset it every trip but it just does not continue to work ? Any ideas ? Is there a fuse behind unit ?

Hmm that's a new one on me as it's part of the instrument cluster. There's quite a lot of complaint's generally about Fiat clocks in Bravo's (which the Delta is underneath and inside, dash included) not keeping time and losing a few minutes.

So does yours read 00:00 every time you get back in the car and start it up?

This sounds like an earth or battery connection, it's distinctly odd for these to go udders up!
I would start around the battery area and ensure that connections around there are all clean and good, then work your way into the car
1 thing, theres a connection over your right foot that can pull apart

Wouldn't he have starting issues and other random error messages if it was a dodgy earth?

I find the clock annoying on the Delta - why put an outside temperature display on both the centre console and the dash - but just one tiny clock on the dash.

How do we know that he doesn't ???? ;-)

Like the Punto and power steering system failure.. usually follows a clutch change . . The engine earth is more of a culprit than the actual power steering

Just cos he died after his breakfast, doesn't mean that it was the breakfast that killed him !!!

The Italians are always late and rubbish time keepers so place no importance on time...So a clock is probably at the bottom of the requirements list lol.

No I follow your analogy completely... Just doesn't make sense to complain about a clock if you had starting problems or worrying warning messages lighting up your dashboard like a Christmas tree! Surely you'd mention those first... no?

Never really even thought about the clock on mine but maybe because the sat nav will have the time on it somewhere I don't really look? That info screen in the instruments is a bit small really.

Yes I'd much prefer the non-Nav radio to display a clock when not in use..............

The problem started after a jump start ! The air bag light for the passenger air bag came on! Then sporadically the red light air bag light would appear !i now hAve no light on the cluster ! I complained to aa and went to arbitration , but they said that impossible that a jump start would cause the problem ! Two garages said that the car was spiked !
Chrysler have quoted 900 pounds to fix issue but just wanted to resolve issue!

Why did your car need to be jump started?
Does your car have the stop/start system?
Who performed the jump start procedure?
Did you witness the jump start?

As it seems your car has reset to factory settings

Indeed lol... Shame he didn't mention those vital facts in the original post! Doh!  ;)  :)

I mean we all try to be helpful... but at least give us the facts to make it worth our while, instead of leaving us stabbing in the dark.

I was complaining about the clock as I thought I had resolved the other issues, as I bought another battery and all seemed well . Now the issue is back !
Have you any ideas ?
I have checked all the fuses, wiring under both seats . Cleaned with electrical spray and changed battery.
For example : went to work Wednesday , Car no issues apart from clock display !
When I got in the car to come home , passenger airbag light on , red passenger light on, dial display not illuminated , and odometer flashing !
At home I undid battery and left it over night replacing the battery leads in the morning . Car back to normal apart from the clock !
On my return from work passenger airbag on again!
That’s the ptoblem . Chrysler want 800 oddd pounds to replace some bits behind the dash , but they are not certain!

An aa sub contractor , as I left the boot ajar over night . I did complain and the motor industry arbitration said that they were not at fault, hence left with the problem . Had a sparks man look at it today and said there were faults he could not clear , only main dealer. Is there such a thing as a factory reset ?

Would I get any joy from small claims court ?
