Hi,

Other than the stuck button (I've found one that has hardly any 'click' action, but it still works), if your TRAC OFF shows when you start and run, it's the same as mine at the moment. Mine is due to a faulty wheel speed sensor.

If you're lucky enough to have a full scanner, do a check on the ABS system and it'll tell you if a speed sensor is at fault, otherwise you'll need to test them yourself. If ABS light isn't showing then it'll probably just be the wheel speed sensor and nothing more complicated with the ABS system itself.

(FYI: I've had TRAC OFF illuminated as haven't got round to replacing the sensor. I can confirm if the sensor is disconnected totally you get TRAC OFF and BRAKE (the handbrake) light illuminated. ABS light seems to be triggered from another set of circumstances as mine isn't lit up (and yes the bulb works! ABS light should be on during first key position indicator test before starting)).

Hiya Qinteq,

huh what ? What ref to DTC's?

The OP asked how to switch ON the traction control, and said his switch was stuck.

And didn't mention a problem, and hasn't commented on - the other replies (so come on fella chip back in)

Has the OP @@roberttherebel57 got TRAC OFF lit up on his dash below the mileometer / trip?

Or were you simply asking, as you were interested, as you didn't realise it's always on?

As the posts at the start, it's supposed to be always on unless you use the rocker switch. Or there is a problem.

I wonder if he ever got it sorted.... Yet another lack of information and feedback if it did or didn't get fixed!

Any warning lamps on the dash lit?

Try the key dance - turn to "on" 3 times in rapid succession not starting it, 3rd time leave in that position then it should hopefully give some code on the trip display to start us with.

Excellent information that mate, I was a bit concerned as MOT on one of mine is due early April and my gut feeling is we'll be closed down longer than this initial 3 weeks. It's only my thoughts, nothing behind it.

I'm end May, so would have been in 'no mans land'. I,m one Islander that's relieved too bignev !

Like you I'm at nearer 6 months than one, end April @ earliest before we enter the big lumping fist numbers even if we get all the right kit in the right place by end April.

Andrew Cuomo reflects real fact others blow smoke ! Not political, I'm not American, he just gives numbers.
