Hi, (silly suggestion but) make sure the battery is connected to the right terminals.

Remove the battery, touch negative and positive terminals from the car together for 10-15 mins, this will drain all the power on the system, while connected press the brake pedal few times ( I don't know why either, just many suggest that by pressing the brake pedal empties any current within the system).

Try that and please let me know the outcome.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

Agree with mikebh8 do that as residual current in the ECU and systems can cause some odd behaviour on the BCM.

Also, as well as unlocking using the fob, put the key in the ignition and start the car. In some cases this is needed to re-pair the key/fob/ecu and will generally stop the alarm from sounding if it's the factory-fit.

We're assuming factory fit here, if not or you suspect after market then start by trying to track down the sounder inside the engine bay and find where it is to get an idea on what you're dealing with.

Hi.Did anyone fit aftermarket alarm? I bought my Voyager over 2 months ago only with a key no fob . I didn't know at this time that alarm doesn't work without keyfob, so no alarm for now. I checked service history with comes with the car and I notice comment that key communication need aditonal time to investigate. So probably been left undone by previous owner. I was thinking to buy a new keyfob ore new key shape but I'm not sure now if it will work.

It can be done, I found few videos on YouTube on how to, even old remote from a different car (same model).

I also have a T300, recently purchased so I didn't have time to go through all the options, however with the car's security code can be done( I only tried it to a VW beetle until now so I don't know if all the manufactures locked the ECU with a security pin). More uptades will be posted once I will more time to play with it.
