Eu Certificate Of Conformity

Question

Hello everyone, hope you can help.

We have just bought a LHD 2003 Dodge Braun Entervan in the UK for our son who uses a wheelchair and need to register it here in France.  The vehicle is essentially a Grand Voyager, but badged up as a Dodge for this factory modification.

I am having a problem finding a customer services department to make enquiries about getting the EU CoC we need to complete the re-registration.

Can anyone help with contact details or other thoughts please?

Many thanks

You've probably already seen this, but I'll post it anyway.

For the vehicles without the EU specification (e.g. vehicle manufactured for the U.S. or Japanese market) and older vehicles that have not been given the type approval of the EC yet, a COC does not exist. Similarly, it is not possible to issue a COC for converted vehicles. A COC is only obtainable for passenger vehicles, motorcycles and light goods vehicles.

Got from here. https://www.eurococ.eu/en/certificate-of-conformity

There's a live chat option on the bottom right of the page, hopefully you'll be able to get help through that.

Thanks very much.  That's what I thought, but I am hoping there may be an exemption for adapted vehicles.  I have seen two of these on French plates here, so immatriculation ought to be possible.  It's how many hoops the French bureaucracy want us to jump through in getting there which is troubling.

I hadn't noticed the live chat, but they have been very helpful.  It doesn't look like there will be a CoC for this car, but they have pointed me towards DREAL, which an organisation in France that deals with non-standard registrations.
