High Mount Brake Light Issue

Hi, the third brake light stopped working about 1yr ago and I finally got round to buying a replacement. The bad news is that that hasn't solved the problem and it still doesn't work. In the interim the offside brake light has stopped working however I believe it is the same bulb as the tail light which is working fine. Any suggestions as to what might be causing it or what I could look at trying? The MOT is due next month and I will need to get it sorted by then! Thanks

Mine has done the same thing.  i took it out to replace the bulb not realising it was an LED unit.  I was about to buy another one when it started working all of its own accord.  Thats probably no help to you but i assume with mine i had just disturbed the connection and got it working again.

Hi, do you get power to it?

Try with someone pressing the brake pedal and you (or someone else if you're not confident) testing with a DC voltmeter.

Thanks for your reply. I recently had the back windscreen replaced, courtesy of a brick through it, and now it's working so I presume it was just a loose connection!
