Grand Voyager 2006 Ltd Xs 6 Cd Changer Problem.

Hi all. I have tried to get a disc into the 6 changer on my new to me GV and it is not a happening thing. I have had a quick look and found that there is a piece of metal across the opening of the insertion slot. It does not move and so prevents cds being inserted. I guess the fix is to replace the entire unit? Does anyone have one that I can buy? Also when I fit a replacement one will it need programming into the car?

Perhaps a silly question, but you have presed one of the six numbers before attempting to insert the dvd/cd?

And waited for the orange light to come on before trying to insert the disc

Yes I have tried that. I tried to push a CD into the slot and I now have a totally destroyed CD....

There's usually a few on ebay if you need a new one

Was looking at Grand Voyagers earlier on ebay. Done it price low to high and there were about 10 different ones being broken for spares. 

Might be worth a few emails.

I remember reading somewhere about this problem.

The recommended advice was....disconnect the battery for about 20 mins, make sure it's got a good charge, then reconnect battery.

Like a lot of digital gear this is the cure.. power off leave for a few mins power on.

Make sure you have a radio code!!!
