Question

Hi,

I had the air conditioning regassed with a proper machine (not a bottle).  it said there were no leaks.

however when I put on the air conditioning in the car its still 'warm'.  It does go cold a 'bit', but when i am putting it all the way down to 16, i would expect it to be cold.

Can anyone give me pointers.  I been told to suspect the air conditioning pump .

Mike.

I had the same problem.  When the a/c is switched on, and the a/c pump clutch engages, does the engine RPM drop slightly?  If not, then the pump is not pumping.  I managed to find a pump at a breakers yard.  It is pretty easy to fit (once you've had the system degassed).  Probably 40mins work to swap it out.  The old compressor just spins freely - I've not got round to having a look at its innards yet!
Good luck.
