I don't think the water pump is driven by the cam belt? I had my cambelt done recently and asked the mobile mechanic who did the job to check condition for me and advise accordingly. He said mine was fine and didn't need doing so i didn't have it done. Conventional wisdom usually advises that when you do the cambelt do the water pump but I had enough confidence in my mechanic to go with his recommendation

I had my timing belt done last year and mechanics advised on new pump mainly due to where it's located and amount of work to get to it, so I went for it.

In the end, the cost of a water pump on top of the cost of the belt change wasn't huge and gives a bit more peace of mind.
