Radio Codes

Does any one know I can get the code for my radio /sat nav as I didn't get a book when I bought the car.

On My 2001 voyager I needed the code every time I removed the battery. We had the car from new so no problem... When I got this 2007 GV, the guy didn't have the radio code, however I found out that if I disconnect the battery on this one, it doesn't ask for a code on power up ... don't know why but it definitely doesn't

 

In any case you can get the serial number from the radio, from the label stuck on the side/back... there are a couple of websites that claim to be able to generate the code from that, alternatively your chrysler dealer can get it from you with proof of id & ownership.. although they may charge ?

it is all down to if the radio has been set up to ask for reg code

Ok can you tell or do you try it and see? May the power module next to the battery stores enough power for the radio code. Come to think of it if you need to work on the car do you just disconnect battery and the power module as well.?

Yes bizarely my new car (2005) doesn;t ask for a code on the radio sat nav unit either!
